Workshops
The theme of a workshop has to be related to the broad topic of service-learning in higher education.
The purpose to the non-exhaustive list below is:
1. To give inspiration for possible proposals for workshops in different formats
2. To facilitate the organisation of these workshops
The list below is based on 2019 AJCU Service-Learning Professionals Conference Survey (in preparation of AJCU conference 25-27 June 2019, at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts)
Relating to service-learning STUDENTS.

You can apply for a presentation, interactive workshop, round-table, an expert date or a poster session. We are open to other formats as well. The basic idea is to provide you with the opportunity to share with others your service-learning experience and to engage in a conversation with European colleagues. Be creative! Want to present a recent publication about service-learning? Want to present a new initiative together with your colleagues ? Want to organize a philosophical debate on reciprocity in service-learning? Hand in a proposal. We allot time slots of 1,5 hour per theme.
When: Friday 20 September (11.00-12.30) / 14.00-15.30), Saturday 21 September (9.00-10.30)
Duration: 1.5 hours

Presentation
- three presentations of a paper/good practice
(+:- 15 minutes + 15 minutes questions and interaction - presentations should focus on a similar theme,
preferably from different institutions or countries - individual submission will be grouped together with speakers of a similar theme.
Interactive Workshop
- structured set of activities for groups of participants
- can be facilitated by one or more organizers who present a particular case and who work together with the audience

Round Table
- a more informal and ad hoc nature in comparison to a workshop
- a form of academic discussion
- participants agree on a specific topic or text to discuss and debate.
- each person is given equal rights to participate, as illustrated by the idea of a circular layout referred to in the term round table
Expert Date
- hosted by one or more experts on a particular matter who agree to answer and discuss particular questions, problems, proposals of conference participants
- participants can register in advance for a 15 minute talk with one or more table experts.
Poster Session
- presentation of research information, good practices / your organization in the form of a paper poster
- the conference organizer will set up the show floor, you bring your poster
- will be organized during lunchtime on Thursday 19th of September
The selection committee considers:
- Professional qualifications linked to the topic of community service-learning
- The interactive nature of the proposed session
- The relevance and innovative character of the session topic
The purpose is to select a group of enthusiastic and qualified session organizers that is as complementary and multidisciplinary as possible.

Notice of Acceptance: early July 2019
